In 1998, Hallmark created a line of retro-style metal lunchboxes called School Days. These limited-edition lunchboxes were scaled down in size to about 75%, and many of the designs were based on classic lunchboxes of the 1960s through the 1980s. This 1950s Superman lunchbox design never actually existed; there was a Superman lunchbox released in the 1950s, but it looks like this one available for bid at Hake’s Americana. The other interesting/nerdy aspect is that this supposedly 1950s-era lunchbox uses artwork from the 1930s and 40s. The back reproduces the cover of Action Comics #1, and the front appears to be 1940s era art, too.
I really should write my name there on the bottom!
